Started our final blog with breakfast at the monastery where we are spending 2 nights. It’s so nice to have crisp clean sheets (after the chalet in nature!)…as the sisters would say, cleanliness is next to godliness.
Rome is hot and humid as we headed to receive our final stamp on our credential via francigena.
We headed to the Christian centre to be informed we can only receive our testimonies as pilgrims ( have to complete 110k to qualify).
From ACTUALLY inside st Peters Basilica.
Queued patiently and were guided to a room at the far end to receive our stamp and testimonials, made it so special and not one of the hoards of tourists around us.
FINAL steps taken 136k (85miles)
Signing off from our blog
Hope you have all enjoyed being part of our experience
